About

Stuart and Sue Gibbard have been supplying old tractor literature for almost 40 years and have a wealth of knowledge on the subject.

Stuart is an acclaimed writer who has written numerous books and scripted several DVDs on the subjects of tractors or machinery. One of the leading specialists in his field, he has worked on tractor magazines, both as a journalist and editor, for more than 20 years.

Sue founded the tractor literature business in the 1980s when she decided that she needed to do something about all the piles of surplus tractor manuals and brochures around the house. She soon learnt what all the different makes and models of tractors were and has a keen eye for that rare or attractive piece of tractor literature. Today, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operation of Gibbard Tractors, she acts as an editorial assistant on Stuart’s various tractor publications.

You might have seen us selling tractor literature with our stand at various rallies and events across the country, in the early days with our two young children in tow. Although both Kate and Tom are now grown up, they still take an active interest in the business. Our other commitments mean that we don’t get out to as many events as we used to, but you can still find us at several of the major tractor shows.
